The successful candidate will drive engineering quality, reduce reliance on external consultants, and support predictable, lender-aligned project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical assurance for HV grid connection designs. Lead the DNO interface, managing submissions, clarifications, and approvals. Review and direct ICP deliverables such as SLDs, protection philosophies, earthing studies, and cabling. Oversee contestable vs non-contestable scope and energisation readiness. Strengthen HV QA/QC processes and technical governance. Act as an internal HV subject matter expert and mentor early-career engineers. Requirements: Strong HV engineering expertise (1166kV) from an ICP or DNO background. Experience delivering grid connections and navigating DNO approvals. Proven ability to review and challenge HV/ICP design packages. Confidence leading technical discussions and driving high standards.
