Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dietetic Team Lead within our North Ayrshire Dietetic Community and Rehabilitation Team based at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine
Hours and Shift Pattern:
28 hours within Monday to Friday, days and hours can be discussed
This post is offered on a permanent basis.
What you will do:
* To supervise/deliver the clinical service to an assigned caseload.
* To provide the team leader role for the management of the day-to-day operational aspects of the South Community Dietetic service including both community hospital and community staff remit.
* To ensure a robust performance management system is in place and executed for all delegated team members
* To ensure policy is fully implemented and executed consistently.
* To promote the role and function of the Dietetic service through partnership working within the multi-professional teams
* To work under the support, guidance and direction of the Dietetic Service Manager, undertaking service developments, leadership and management duties.
* To lead the dietetic element of nutritional care supporting the multi-professional team attainment and adherence to recognised standards of care
* Be responsible for the operational management of practice education programmes of Dietetic students assigned including assessment.
* To implement and adhere to staff governance standards
* To establish and conduct a programme of quality improvement for self and team/service.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics
- Registration with Health Professions Council
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development to MSc. or equivalent
- Evidence of clinical practice across a range of conditions & variety of settings/client groups.
- Proven experience in supervising and/or managing staff/students
- Knowledge of key national, local and organisational targets and how they relate to the job.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability for innovation and proactive working.
- Competency in Microsoft office and Outlook, digital clinical platforms e.g. Near Me
- Demonstrable ability to critically appraise own and others performance.
