Summary
Edgbaston High School is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Spanish who is fluent in both Spanish and English.
Detail
Modern languages are a vital component of a school curriculum, offering the students a comprehensive series of valuable experiences which cover many areas of learning both in and beyond the curriculum, as well as many cross-curricular links.
We offer Spanish, French and German through to A Level. The MFL department is vibrant and strives to keep up-to-date with both the evolution of the languages and the cultures which they represent. The MFL Teachers are supported by Foreign Language Assistants to give pupils - both individually and in small groups - regular, structured contact time with a native speaker.
The MFL department is well resourced and we encourage pupils to explore Foreign Languages beyond the classroom with a wealth of trips, extra-curricular clubs and participation in competitions within school and externally. We also offer support clubs and revision sessions.
Every employee at EHS is a valued member of the team, and staff wellbeing is important. Employee benefits include a generous employer pension; on-site parking; use of the gym and pool; delicious lunches prepared by our onsite catering team; access to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens for employees and their families; and access to an Employee Assistance Programme.
