Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Salary – The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £7.55 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. AFTER completing their first year Apprentices will be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are 19 or over. The minimum wage rates are £10.00 per hour for 18-20 year olds. £12.21 an hour for 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that is part of their apprenticeship. About the Role As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will play a vital role in supporting children with additional needs within Key Stage Two. This hands-on role will involve delivering targeted interventions designed to boost pupil progress and confidence. The position includes time allocated to attend training sessions, enabling you to work towards a recognised teaching assistant qualification while gaining valuable practical experience.
