Our client, a prominent London Borough in North London, is seeking a dedicated Highways Engineer on a contract basis to join their Design and Delivery Team. This role involves delivering the design and construction of new schemes within the highways discipline. Key Responsibilities: Delivering a range of projects from inception to completion through the application of specialist skills Conducting inspections and surveys to assess project requirements Performing feasibility and options studies for proposed projects Managing projects, including budgetary and financial control Designing and supervising the construction of highway schemes Providing expert advice on environmental and civil engineering design Managing highway maintenance and asset management issues Maintaining effective contract management and site supervision Simultaneously delivering multiple complex projects or work programmes Job Requirements: Experience in highway maintenance and asset management Expertise in delivering schemes within an urban environment Knowledge of environmental and civil engineering design principles Ability to perform project inspections, surveys, and feasibility studies Proficiency in project management and financial control Strong communication and problem-solving skills HNC/BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification and expertise Benefits: Opportunity to work on diverse and impactful projects Collaborative and s...
