Lead engineer – Bioprocess integration & modelling, Slough

Role Purpose:
Design, plan, and execute studies supporting technology or process/product development projects within defined scope and timelines. Analyze study data to draw meaningful conclusions.
Key Accountabilities and Duties:
1. Develop innovative and robust intensification strategies for protein purification.
2. Perform process modelling and manufacturing cost analysis to benchmark strategies.
3. Define requirements for integrated protein purification in manufacturing and develop plans collaboratively.
4. Create procedures ensuring equipment and operations are compatible with integration and automation.
5. Define strategies for monitoring and controlling integrated protein purification processes.
6. Set up integrated purification processes at lab scale with automation and digitalization specialists.
7. Design studies independently, evaluate data, and interpret complex datasets to meet project targets.
8. Develop detailed study plans with timelines, author technical reports, and publish findings with scientifically supported conclusions.
Skills:
* Maintain accurate records and prepare high-quality technical analyses and reports.
* Support resource planning, project management, and prioritization.
* Adhere to good laboratory practices and support housekeeping and maintenance.
* Maintain documentation of process configurations, flow sheets, and cost models.
