* Diagnosing and synthesising barriers in UK adaptation finance at different governance levels and developing and testing an integrated multi-level Adaptation Investment Framework to address them through three case studies.
* Quantification of the impact that changes to enabling conditions are likely to have on mobilising adaptation investment, and thus, future climate risk.
* Consideration of how storylines and participatory approaches may support effective communication and uptake of complex climate science and overcome behavioural barriers to adaptation finance.
The successful applicant will be involved with all these project elements and have a leading role in developing effective storylines that blend climate information with economic and financial analysis of climate risks to identify robust adaptation options and priorities.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in climate economics and some knowledge of climate finance in the adaptation context.
