Post: Social Worker – Disabled Children’s Team 0-11, 37 hours per week. Grade 11: £42,839 per annum; Grade 12: £46,142 per annum. Entry Level up to 3 years; registration with Social Care Wales required. Additional £2,250 market supplement pro rata, reviewed May 2027.
About the Team
Supports children with lifelong, permanent and substantial disability. The Disabled Children’s Service comprises five teams: Enablement Team, 0-11 Team, 11+ Team, Eligibility Team and Occupational Therapy Team. The 0-11 team specialises in early intervention with children, families and key agencies. Primary aim: offering targeted support at an early age, strengthening families, reducing risk of family breakdown. Focus on supporting children and families to achieve positive outcomes. Responsibilities include managing safeguarding risks, court proceedings, looked‑after children and adoption matters.
Responsibilities
Work as part of a supportive, nurturing service; receive regular meaningful supervision; attend team meetings; schedule wellbeing ‘check‑ins’ and bite‑size sessions; build relationships with team and peers.
