Role Overview As a Functional Assessor, your primary responsibility will be to evaluate how individuals' disabilities or health conditions impact their daily working lives. You'll conduct the Personal Independence Payments (PIP) assessment which compiles of detailed face to face and telephone assessments, reviewing medical and medication histories, and assess the abilities of each patient across different activities of daily living. You'll compile scoring with your medical rationale, and write clear and concise reports which the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) use to determine benefit eligibility for PIP claims. Excellent Work Hours: Full-time Functional Assessors work 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Thorough Assessments: You will have ample time for thorough assessments, meeting clients both in person, and via phone/video, demonstrating compassion and sensitivity. Supportive Environment: Work independently but within a supportive multi-disciplinary team environment. Comprehensive training and clinical coaching are provided to ensure your success. Candidate Requirements Qualifications: Registered with NMC or HCPC with at least 12 months of recent clinical experience gained in a broad range of adult clinical settings, preference is for settings involving the assessment and treatment of varied complex conditions with an NHS employer. Skills: Strong communication skills, regular multi-system IT proficiency and regular longer-form report writing.
