About the Role
Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled HCPC registered Advanced Biomedical Scientist specialising in Haematology to join our dynamic Blood Sciences department.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver essential diagnostic services that directly impact patient care within a highly regarded healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
* Act as the lead Biomedical Scientist for the Haematology specialist area.
* Manage and coordinate the day‑to‑day activities of the team.
* Lead service improvement initiatives.
* Process specialist investigations and ensure the standard and quality of results.
* Provide specialist advice to clinicians regarding appropriateness of tests and timescales.
* Deliver specialist services such as training, advanced troubleshooting and problem solving for specialist requirements.
* Work flexibly to meet service needs, which may include extended working days and participation in a 24‑hour, 7‑day per week service.
Qualifications
HCPC registered Advanced Biomedical Scientist specialising in Haematology.
Due to Home Office immigration rules, a full time permanent vacancy cannot be filled by individuals on a Student visa. Students on a Student visa will not be offered a full‑time permanent contract unless they have:
* applied for a Graduate visa
* successfully completed their course and applied for a Graduate visa before the anticipated start date of employment.
