Site Engineer Civil Engineering (Roads & Infrastructure) Location: Louth Salary: £40,000 £60,000 We are currently seeking a motivated Site Engineer with 26 years experience to join a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across Ireland and the UK. Known for a strong pipeline of work and a collaborative, hands-on approach, this contractor offers excellent career progression and the opportunity to work on large-scale, technically challenging schemes. You will be joining the team on a major road construction project in Louth, gaining exposure to key elements of earthworks and site works within a supportive and experienced environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the delivery of earthworks and site works packages on a large-scale road project Set out, level, and survey the site to ensure works are carried out in line with design specifications Assist with the planning and coordination of daily site activities Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to ensure smooth project delivery Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards Monitor and maintain quality control procedures on site Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including drawings, reports, and daily diaries Identify and report any site issues, including delays, design discrepancies, or safety concerns Liaise with subcontractors and site teams to ensure efficient workflow and sequencing of activities Contribute to short-term planning, including lookahead programmes About You: 26 years experience in a Site Engineer or similar role within civil engineering Strong background in civils, ideally with experience in roads, earthworks, or infrastructure projects Proficient in setting out and use of surveying equipment Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications Strong communication and organisational skills A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic contractor with a strong reputation in the civil engineering sector and play a key role in delivering a high-profile infrastructure project.
