POSITION PURPOSE
The Director of Sales - Group Business serves as the strategic leader responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and market positioning of the MICE segment at Trump Turnberry. This role will cultivate relationships with high-value corporate partnerships, secure new and repeat group business. Using their strong industry relationships already in place, the Director of Sales will shape the resorts competitive advantage while collaborating across departments to maximise revenue opportunities. Through data-driven insight, proactive market engagement, and a commitment to luxury service, this role ensures Trump Turnberry stands as the premier destination for exceptional group and corporate experiences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive MICE business growth, ensuring alignment with the resorts overall goals.
In conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing, develop the sales strategy for Group Business as well as plan and manage its implementation
Work with the Director of MICE and the Group Sales and Events team
Oversee and maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline using Delphi.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key corporate clients, event planners, DMCs, and industry partners to secure new and repeat business.
Collaborate closely with the Director of MICE and their Events and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of all MICE events, maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to position Trump Turnberry as the premier choice for MICE events.
Maximise revenue opportunities through effective pricing strategies, forecasting, and upselling initiatives.
Work closely with other sales, marketing, and revenue management teams to develop comprehensive campaigns and packages that target the MICE segment.
Represent Trump Turnberry at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance the resorts visibility and reputation in the MICE market.
Work with the Director of MICE and the Group Sales and Events team to ensure the full client lifecycle is complete to encourage long-term partnerships.
Act as a brand ambassador for Trump Turnberry & Trump Organisation
To arrange and manage familiarisation trips and educationals in line with business needs.
Any other task required to contribute to the workflow of the department.

Proven experience in a senior sales role specialising in MICE within the luxury hospitality industry.
A strong network of contacts within the corporate and events sectors.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
A strategic mindset with the ability to analyse data and market trends to inform decision-making.
Strong leadership qualities with a track record of driving results and mentoring teams.
