This role is well suited to someone with strong administrative skills who is confident managing a varied workload and is keen to develop their knowledge and experience within HR. Job Role This is a key support role within the HR function, helping to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of HR and recruitment activity across the organisation. You will be the first point of contact for general HR queries, providing clear, professional responses and signposting colleagues to the right information, with guidance and support from the Lead HR Advisor and HR Manager. Your responsibilities will include: Providing high‑quality administrative support to the HR and recruitment function Supporting recruitment activity, including coordinating interviews, completing pre‑employment checks and preparing documentation Assisting with onboarding and ensuring new starters receive a positive and well‑organised introduction to YMCA Norfolk Maintaining accurate HR records and systems, ensuring confidentiality and GDPR compliance Supporting the wider HR team with updates to templates, guidance and resources Taking minutes at HR meetings and supporting HR projects and initiatives Promoting a positive, inclusive and professional workplace culture in all aspects of your work Why You’ll Love Working With Us You’ll be joining a small, passionate and collaborative HR team where your voice truly matters. About You We are looking for someone with excellent administrative skills, strong attention to detail and a proactive approach. You may already be working in an administrative role and looking to move into HR, or you may have some entry‑level HR or recruitment experience and be keen to develop further.
