Overview
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our successful Major Projects division. As part of our commercial team, you'll play a key role in our major projects portfolio empowering decision-making, providing expert advice, managing all commercial activities, and overseeing the change control process. This is a permanent, full time position based at our Head Office in Sevenoaks, Kent.
Responsibilities
* Performing risk, value management and cost control activities to benefit the contract
* Leading and driving the procurement strategy including cost value analysis and procurement of sub-contractors
* Maintaining awareness of different contracts in current use, ensuring all current legislations and document control is adhered to
* Monitoring and reporting forecast against cost and value and the management of cashflow
* Overseeing and managing the commercial team on your contracts and supporting their development
What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Quantity Surveyor with previous experience working in the construction, civil engineering or highways industry. You will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and you will have excellent knowledge of JCT, ICE and NEC contracts. A CSCS card is essential for this role.
