People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Manual Lathe Turner / Borer (Webster & Bennett) to join our well-established client based in Brownhills, West Midlands on a full-time permanent basis.This is a fantastic opportunity offering an amazing annual salary and room to grow and progress.
Hours of Work
* Full-time, 39 hours per week (day shift). 8am - 5pm
Salary
* From £16.00 per hour (equivalent annual salary based on hours worked - £32,448)

Day-to-Day Duties
* Operate manual lathes and borers to produce precision components to specification.
* Perform fabrication tasks, including milling.
* Read and interpret technical drawings.
* Safely handle and store materials within the warehouse.
* Carry out routine maintenance on machinery and tools.
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues.
* Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.
* Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during production.
Essential Skills
* Proven experience operating manual lathes and borers.
* Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications.
* Experience in materials handling, tooling, and hand tool use.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills.
* Proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
Desirable Skills
* Vertical Borer experience.
* 7+ year's experience on manual lathes (preferred).
* Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
* Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
Training
* On-the-job training provided where required.
