ED Administrator

The post holder will be responsible for providing quality 24/7 administrative support to the Emergency Department, prioritising and organising their own workload and fulfilling all administrative and clerical tasks associated with the smooth running of the department.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 24/7 administrative support to the Emergency Department.
* Prioritise and organise workload to meet departmental requirements.
* Fulfil all administrative and clerical tasks for smooth running.
* Act as ED Reception and ED Patient Flow Co‑ordinator: track patient progress, monitor length of stay, liaise with clinical team to avoid breaches.
* Support patient flow through the department and manage patient transfer.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in an emergency department administrative role or comparable healthcare environment.
* Strong organisational, communication and multitasking skills.
* Ability to work independently and handle front‑line patient and clinical interactions.
* Knowledge of patient flow coordination and ED reception procedures preferred.
