As we approach the new academic year, Prospero Teaching have a growing number of exciting opportunities for Tutors in Ropley and New Alresford to support young people through alternative provision.
We are seeking Tutors to work with learners across Primary, Secondary, and Further Education who benefit from a 1:1 supportive and positive learning environment. These students thrive outside of mainstream settings and require tailored support to reach age-related expectations in core subjects.
As a Tutor you will:
Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions
Support learners with SEN in building confidence and achieving academic goals
Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs
Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with stakeholdersAbout you:
Experience working with young people in UK schools
Experience of working with learners with SEN, SEMH needs, EBSA, physical/ emotional dysregulation and implementing deescalation strategies.
Calm, nurturing, energetic and positive
Strong understanding of safeguarding practices
Knowledge of the national curriculumPosition - SEN Tutor

Full time/part-time - Opportunities for both
Hours - 15 Hours per week- for the right candidate, this can be increased to full time.
Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL
Experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
