Customer Service/Order Entry Administrator
📍Chesterfield (Office-Based)
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Customer Service/Order Entry Administrator to join our growing team.
This is a fast-paced, operational role where you will take ownership of customer orders from order receipt through to despatch, ensuring accuracy, clear communication, and on-time delivery.
Workload can vary day to day, so the ability to prioritise effectively and remain organised is essential.
You will play a key role in keeping orders moving efficiently through the business, working closely with Sales,Operations, and Supply Chain.
Order Processing
* Accurately process customer orders using SAP Business One
* Validate pricing, delivery dates, and product details before order release
* Raise supplier purchase orders where required to fulfil customer demand
* Manage order progression and update statuses through to despatch
Customer Communication
* Handle queries and order updates via Microsoft Outlook and telephone
* Send order acknowledgements and delivery updates
* Proactively manage delays and customer expectations
Internal Coordination
* Liaise with Warehouse to ensure accurate picking and dispatch
* Work with Supply Chain to confirm availability and lead times
* Support Sales with order-related queries
Administration
* Participate in team communication via Microsoft Teams
* Experience in a customer service, order processing, or sales support role
* Experience with SAP Business One (or similar ERP system preferred)
* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Confident communicator (email and phone)
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing workloads, and work to deadlines
* Organised, structured, and proactive approach to work
* Experience in export order processing, including documentation and international shipments
* Experience working in distribution, engineering, or industrial environments

Working hours are 8:30am - 5pm on Monday - Thursday and 8:30am - 4pm on Friday.
