Technical Support Engineer – Redditch – £38,000 to £40,000 – International Travel
Location: Redditch
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday – 07:30 to 16:30, Friday – 07:30 to 13:30
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required
Travel: International travel required at short notice
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to join a well-established and innovative engineering business based in Redditch. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded individual to take on a varied role involving installation, maintenance, and client support across the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and configure specialist machinery at customer sites
Conduct thorough testing and ensure systems are operational before handover
Perform routine maintenance and servicing
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs in a timely manner
Provide technical support both remotely and on-site
Train customers on equipment use, safety, and preventative maintenance
Maintain accurate records of all service visits and technical issues
Produce service reports and update internal systems
Liaise with internal engineering and product development teams
Provide feedback from the field to support continuous improvement
Candidate Requirements:
Degree, HND or equivalent in Engineering, Electronics, or related field
2 to 5 years’ experience in a service engineer or technical support role
Previous experience working with industrial machinery or within a manufacturing environment
Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities
Comfortable using technical documentation and diagnostic software
Able to work independently and manage time effectively
Physically capable of handling equipment and working in diverse environments
Willing to travel abroad, sometimes at short notice
