Role at a glance
IAG Loyalty is a dynamic and rapidly growing organisation committed to innovation, expanding our core business and driving that growth through strategic ventures.
As part of that growth strategy, we are creating a new Ventures team and this role will join a multi-disciplinary team of designers, product managers, growth marketers, engineers and subject matter experts obsessed with inventing, experimenting and building new ventures from ideation to scale deployments.
As lead Venture Architect, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our projects by leading the creation of innovative ventures and propositions. Coordinating between different stakeholders, you will work closely with Design, Growth and Product counterparts at every stage of the venture to ensure alignment and maximize impact, while also focusing on delivering the commercial aspects of the venture ensuring it aligns with strategic ambitions.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading the creation of the overall venture proposition, driving commercial impact, creating clarity and buy in from different stakeholder groups and partners.
* Developing a deep understanding of the business, challenges, and the wider industry context, ensuring that the work is always cognizant of the business context.
* Leading a cross-functional team of product managers, growth marketers, engineers and designers to build viable and scalable businesses.
* Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders, driving regular status updates with executive sponsors, tracking OKRs and venture performance.
* Delivering the commercial and operational aspects of the venture including investment cases, business models, operational requirements, go to market, partnership and distribution strategies
* Developing ideas for the future pipeline and leadingthe development of proposals and pitches with your Design, Growth and Product counterparts.
* Creating strong relationships within the industry and generating opportunities for our teams to deliver impactful work.
What we're looking for:
* You will have held previous venture building roles in consulting or corporate environments combined with startup operator experience having gone the full cycle from ideation to incubation and market scaling.
* 7+ years of professional experience, including 2+ years in leadership, as well as experience in venture development with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., innovation lab / venture studio or startup).
* High empathy, strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Data driven in your decision making and deep commercial awareness to determine key metrics to inform pivot / scale decisioning
* A proactive attitude and growth mindset to navigate ambiguity and challenge conventional thinking.
* World-class execution with an eye for detail and the passion to constantly strive to improve.
* Autonomous leadership and drive to confidently lead highly collaborative teams through complex projects.

Location:
This role will be based at IAGL's London office in Victoria, and we have a blended approach to working at IAGL. Our Blend is our interpretation of hybrid working, where our colleagues are empowered to choose the location for them to produce their best work. Based on your to-do list, colleagues either choose the office or home working that day.
