We provide comprehensive training for you to excel as a Support Worker.You will join our amazing Community Service team in New Inn, Pontypool. This is a permanent role working 3 hours per week - currently on a Friday, 10am-1pm (will be discussed further at interview). We are offering an hourly rate from £12.50 with enhanced rates for overtime and annual pay reviews/ rises.You will be supporting someone who enjoys her time in the community to carry out her shopping, attend appointments and make telephone calls. When there is time she enjoys a walk in the local community in her wheelchair and visiting coffee shops. She has a small dog and uses a wheelchair when out. You will provide support by transfering the wheelchair in and out of your car a up to 3 times per session. You will be part of a team of 3 staff working 1:1 with the client. The person you will be supporting is Deaf but uses speech to communicate and lip reads.The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and a kind, respectful approach to supporting individuals in their home environment. They will be keen to support with a variety of community tasks.
