About The Role Are you passionate about delivering high-quality housing services and making a real impact in people’s lives? Crawley Homes is looking for a dedicated and proactive Housing Officer to join our dynamic Tenancy Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a front-line role, supporting tenants and managing a wide range of housing responsibilities including tenancy management, income recovery, voids, and estate services. As a Housing Officer, you’ll be responsible for: managing tenancies, including changes, terminations, and mutual exchanges supporting tenants with income management and arrears recovery letting void properties efficiently and sensitively conducting property inspections and estate management duties liaising with tenants, contractors, and partner agencies promoting community development and responding to safeguarding concerns We’re seeking an individual who: is an excellent communicator with strong negotiation and organisational skills has a good understanding of housing law, welfare benefits, and safeguarding is customer-focused and committed to continuous service improvement can work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends in response to the requirements of the post holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a suitable vehicle We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible, as we may close this advert before the stated closing date if enough applications are received. Additional information This is an 18-month fixed-term contract, offered on a part-time basis (29.6 hours per week) across four working days, with Tuesday proposed as the non-working day. This post is subject to a satisfactory clearance of a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service check. A full current UK driving licence and use of a suitable vehicle are requirements of the role.
