Quality and Compliance Officer
Location: Position can be fully office-based or hybrid (minimum 2 days in the office per week after probation)
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

We're looking for a Quality and Compliance Officer to join our busy Quality and Auditing team. This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll play a key role in managing complaints, resolving process issues, safeguard our trademarks and brand, and maintain supplier compliance – all while contributing to the smooth running of our business and the confidence of our customers.
You'll be at the heart of everything from internal process checks and supplier audits to customer interactions and compliance reporting – helping us operate efficiently, consistently, and with integrity. You will work closely with teams across the business and have the autonomy to handle matters professionally and confidently.

What You'll Be Doing
* Manage and resolve customer complaints in line with agreed processes and our customer care ethos, maintaining accurate records and ensuring professional responses.
* Investigate process challenges, suggest improvements, and escalate when needed.
* Protect our brand by monitoring trademark infringements and taking appropriate action.
* Ensure customer use of logos and branding meets RTITB guidelines.
* Maintain and update the approved supplier list, ensuring all suppliers meet compliance standards.
* Keep document control up to date, following up on outstanding items from the internal team.
* Support the wider team by highlighting risks, raising improvement opportunities, and embedding compliance across the organisation.
* Prepare clear, accurate reports for management on all aspects of quality and compliance.

Essential Skills and Experience
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 or quality management systems.
* Minimum 1 year of workplace experience in complaints handling, compliance, quality, or a related field.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
* Competent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience with intellectual property, trademark compliance, or supplier approval processes.
* Experience using Workbooks CRM.
* Experience working in transport, warehousing, or logistics sectors.
* Hold Internal Auditor/ Lead Auditor ISO9001 qualification
