This role leads all business development and services-marketing activity to drive brand awareness, generate referrals, and position The Childrens Trust as the provider of choice for ABI and neurodisability across the UK and internationally. Stakeholders include hospital clinicians, commissioners (ICBs and local authorities), NHS England at regional/national levels, embassies, medico-legal professionals including case managers and lawyers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development and Services Marketing

Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of a business development strategy to optimise referral-generating activity across all services. Manage two key areas with cross-organisational support: - account-based marketing (key accounts) including relationships with NHS referrers/funders, local authorities, and private providers/funders; - services marketing plan with multi-channel campaigns for professionals and families.

Oversee the organisation's events programme (webinars, site visits, tours, showcases, education events, conferences, round tables, networking events) and provide supervision to the Business Development Marketing Officer. Represent The Childrens Trust externally, maximise opportunities, evaluate attendance for ROI, and champion co-production of external conferences where appropriate.

Collaborate with the Medical Director and other senior leads to develop robust business cases for new services and roll-out, monitor demand and market activity, and mitigate risks. Align with external developments in commissioning landscapes to grow reach, supported by the External Affairs Advisor.

Work with Communications & Marketing to support multi-channel services marketing campaigns and ensure marketing materials (web, digital, print) align with strategy. Ensure GDPR compliance in line with governance guidance.

Business Planning and Budget Management

Set, manage and monitor the Business Development budget; reconcile transactions; work with service leads to drive activity to budgeted targets; support income forecasts and mitigation of financial risk.

Leadership

Lead the Business Development Marketing Officer and oversee senior relationships with key stakeholders. Represent The Childrens Trust externally and ensure staff development, performance reviews, and alignment with organisational policies and values. Foster a multidisciplinary approach to maximise opportunities and minimise risks, in collaboration with relevant Directors and Advisors.
