The Registered Homecare Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality care services to clients in their homes. This role involves managing a team of caregivers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and developing care plans tailored to the needs of seniors, including those with dementia and Alzheimer's. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in nursing or senior care, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for clients.
Duties
* Manage and supervise a team of homecare staff, ensuring they provide compassionate and effective care.
* Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans for clients, ensuring they meet their specific needs.
* Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Conduct regular assessments of client needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
* Provide training and support to staff on best practices in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and staff performance, ensuring confidentiality is upheld.
* Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to coordinate comprehensive care services.
* Ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is essential.
* A valid nursing qualification is required; additional certifications in senior or dementia care are advantageous.
* Proven management experience, including supervising staff within a healthcare environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and professionals.
* Knowledge of medication administration protocols and care plan development is essential.
