The role involves developing, implementing, and reporting on both proactive and reactive marketing campaigns and strategies across multiple channels for our customers and suppliers whilst working closely with our Procurement Team. This position may also require additional duties and overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Development and Management:
1. Create and manage targeted, multi-channel marketing campaigns to promote key product categories whilst considering branch support and involvement.
2. Tailoring strategies to effectively reach both B2B and B2C customer segments.
3. Use customer insights, segmentation, and feedback to optimise campaigns and drive sales growth both online and in branches.
4. Lead the day-to-day activity, campaigns, comms and short-term strategy for product categories by liaising with the Product Marketing Manager as well as suppliers and the Procurement Team.
Supplier Collaboration and Alignment:
5. Work closely with suppliers to plan and execute co-branded marketing activities, aligning with business objectives and the central marketing calendar.
6. Contribute to the management of supplier budgets, define clear KPIs, and ensure campaigns strengthen both MKM and supplier brand presence.
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
7. Monitor, analyse, and report on key business metrics including but not limited to sales, website traffic, social media engagement, paid search metrics, email performance etc.
8. Evaluate KPIs, including ROI, and use insights to inform recommendations and improve future marketing activities.
Additional Duties:
9. Ability to think social first and actively contribute to the creation of engaging social media content that aligns with broader marketing strategies and campaign goals.
10. Use your marketing expertise to inform and support team members across the wider marketing team and branch networks.
11. Manage various administrative tasks related to marketing initiatives, including budget management and project coordination.
12. Travel to branches and other locations will be required, which may involve overnight stays.
Desired Skills:
13. Experience in a fast-paced business.
14. Experience with budgeting for campaigns.
15. A strong understanding of digital marketing is desirable.
Required:
16. Experience in building, executing, and evaluating marketing campaigns.
17. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a marketing role.
18. Full UK driving license.
19. This role is predominantly office based with flexible working once settled and so it is a requirement that the appropriate candidate is local to the East Yorkshire / North Lincolnshire areas.
