GSL Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in schools in Maltby. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school staff to support teaching and learning while gaining invaluable classroom experience.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will deliver pre-prepared lessons and manage classroom behaviour, working closely with teaching staff to provide a positive and productive learning environment.
Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
* Deliver pre-set lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
* Ensure students remain on task and follow the lesson plan.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
* Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil engagement and behaviour.
* Promote a positive and safe learning environment.
Requirements for the Cover Supervisor role:
* A strong academic background or previous experience working with young people.
* Confidence in supervising a classroom and managing behaviour.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
* A full, up-to-date CV with a clear employment history and explanations for any gaps within the last 10 years.
