Technical Assistant (6 month Secondment) Tachbrook Park, Warwick Full-time, Hybrid Purpose of the Role Provide technical support to Customer Engineering teams, Sales teams, and customers. Support technical vetting of installation and maintenance work. Ensure domestic tanks transferring to Calor meet required siting and maintenance standards prior to acceptance. Monitor specified safety-critical work activities and provide clear, regular reporting to CELT. Support the maintenance and development of the Customer Engineering Quality Management System. Key Responsibilities Provide technical guidance and interpretation of legislation, standards, and Calor procedures. Monitor safety-critical programmes (e.g. Electrical Inspections, Cathodic Protection Tests) and report progress/status clearly to CELT. Support technical vetting of LPG installations and maintenance activity. Assist the Tank Transfer team in assessing compliance of incoming domestic tanks. Support consumer incident investigations and follow-up actions, including liaison with Insurance where appropriate. Contribute to quality system development (process improvement, document control, auditing programmes). Monitor and report on Q-QA-07 requirements, including inspector audit programmes. Support CE requests relating to site-specific H&S contractor questionnaires and contracts. What We’re Looking For Essential Strong knowledge of legislation, codes of practice, standards, and procedures for Domestic & Commercial LPG installations (bulk and cylinder). Understanding of Calor policies, technical specifications, and HSSE requirements. Experience vetting LPG customer installations. Strong commitment to engineering excellence and safety standards. Ability to make objective, logical decisions — even under pressure. Clear communicator, comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders including customers. Confident interpreting and referencing technical documentation. Strong IT literacy (Microsoft Office). Customer-focused mindset with a drive to improve experience. Full UK driving licence. Desirable Experience using SAP, E1, SF, Imaging, Eco-online. Experience with process mapping and flow development. Microsoft Access knowledge. Experience liaising with Insurance and Legal teams.
