The Key Medical Practice is a 12500-patient surgery sitting at the heart of its community in Kidlington, providing accessible, high-quality primary care to the patients and families who depend on it whilst also being a warm and friendly place to work.
High-quality support is given to ensure plenty of time to focus on clinical work and professional development.
Work plan: Mixed session structure including chronic disease clinics (dependent upon training) and treatment room work. This will involve working at both of our sites.
This is an 18-month maternity cover post, with a view to extension or becoming permanent.
6 weeks annual leave

Branch Surgery in Yarnton (1.7 miles away)
Our surgery hours are 08.30 - 18.30.
In-house educational programme with regular clinical and nursing team meetings.
No out of hours or weekend commitments, although we do offer an enhanced access service which requires us to fulfil Wednesday evening cover until 8pm and some Saturday mornings this is entirely voluntary.
We are a training practice.

The Person:
We are looking to appoint an experienced Practice Nurse who is motivated, clinically confident, and committed to delivering high-quality care to a varied patient population. The successful applicant will be expected to work flexibly across our 2 sites. Rate of pay will reflect the skills and competencies the successful candidate brings to the role.
The Practice has a high-achieving QOF track record and is closely involved in local GP-led commissioning, with mostly paperless administration. Our main clinical system is EMIS Web; familiarity with Docman is also beneficial.

We are looking for a Practice Nurse who is able to deliver abroad range of general practice nursing services across our Kidlington and Yarnton surgeries.
This will include chronic disease management, treatment room procedures, immunisations, cervical screening, and supporting QOF achievement. The successful applicant will work closely with GPs, healthcare assistants, and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (RN) with current NMC registration
* Nursing degree, diploma, or equivalent recognised qualification
* Up to date with NMC revalidation requirements
* Evidence of relevant continuing professional development in general practice nursing
* Qualifications or accredited training in one or more of: tissue viability to include compression bandaging and lower limb assessments, cervical cytology and travel vaccines and assessment.
Experience
* Demonstrable experience working as a Practice Nurse in a general practice setting
