Overview

At Krishna Avanti Primary School, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant who can inspire confidence, curiosity, and kindness in every pupil. Working alongside experienced teachers, you will play a vital role in supporting learning across the curriculum, fostering independence, and helping to create a classroom where every child feels valued, motivated, and encouraged to achieve their best. Responsibilities
* Support teaching and learning by assisting the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons for individuals, small groups, or whole classes.
* Supervise and deliver pre-prepared activities in the teacher\'s short-term absence to ensure continuity of learning.
* Promote inclusion and positive behaviour, supporting the personal, emotional, and social development of all pupils, including those with special educational needs.
* Help maintain an organised, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that supports effective learning.
* Uphold school policies and contribute to the safeguarding and welfare of all children and young people. All successful candidates are required to have an Enhanced DBS check unless internally appointed and still within the cycle of DBS re-checks. Any appointment subsequently made will be subject to the receipt of satisfactory references and other pre-employment checks.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience of working with relevant age group within a learning environment
* An understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
* Ability to understand the role of parents and carers, with the ability to relate and build excellent working relationships
* Ability to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils progress
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school
Employment Details
* Salary: Grade 3, £26,435 - £27,588 per annum pro rata (Approximately £18,322 - £19,121 per annum pro rata (0.69309 FTE))
* This position is ideally 32.5 hours; however, part-time hours (approximately 22.5-25 per week, mornings) may also be considered.
