Autoclave Operator (Aerospace/Manufacturing)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week over a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday)

As a well-established player in the Aerospace Industry, our client specialise in manufacturing composite components, metallics, sheet metalwork, fabrication, machining, and treatments.
The Role:
We are searching for an experienced Autoclave Operator, ideally with hands-on experience in metallics within the aerospace/manufacturing sector. In this role, you will operate autoclaves efficiently and safely, ensuring that all products meet MPS and Customer requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Regular communication with the Department's Team Leader to align with production plans.
2. Manual loading, unloading, and curing of parts/components according to specifications.
3. Monitoring industrial machinery to ensure proper operation.
4. Inspection of completed cure cycles and adherence to specifications.
5. General maintenance (TPM) of all autoclaves.
6. Maintenance and testing of vacuum pipes and thermocouples.
7. Compliance with master processes and associated documents to uphold industry standards.
8. Maintaining high performance standards within the team.
9. Monitoring and upholding health and safety standards.
10. Adherence to procedures covering Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP).
11. Regular maintenance of records and documentation.
The Candidate:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
12. Grade C and/or above in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English (Desirable).
13. NVQ Level 2 in a manufacturing and/or engineering discipline (Desirable).
14. Demonstrable continuous professional development (Essential).
15. Machinery operation and/or engineering experience, or a willingness to gain experience in this environment.
16. Flexibility to work according to shift patterns and overtime requirements.
17. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while making autonomous decisions to meet project deadlines.
18. A keen eye for detail, ensuring high levels of accuracy.
19. A highly motivated and disciplined 'can-do' attitude.
20. The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Working Pattern:
21. 4-day week, Monday to Thursday, from 07:15 am to 5:00 pm, totalling 37 hours weekly.
22. Overtime available after basic hours at 1.5x and then 2.0x for Sundays.
