A leading Foodservice company are looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join their team.
Please note - This is a part time ( 20 hour / per week) role.
Job Purpose: Contribute to achieving c. 97% supplier service levels and c. 20 stock day target. To ensure a smooth and efficient flow of goods, to the end customer, while minimising costs and maximising customer satisfaction
Scope of the Role:
* Accountability for the stock planning & forecasting of c. 550 – 1500 SKUs across 3 warehouse locations within
your designated category.
* Build and Maintain relationships with over 80 suppliers.
* Responsibility for ensuring sufficient stock at our 3 sites is procured from c. 350+ suppliers for c. 1500 Frozen SKU’s, c. 550 Chilled SKUs, and c. 1800 Ambient SKU’s.

Desirable
• An understanding of the supply chain process, including procurement, inventory, logistics, and distribution
• Experience in supply chain planning role or related field.
• Knowledge of and experience with forecasting techniques and demand planning processes
• Understanding of inventory control principles, including inventory optimisation, stock levels, and reorder points and experience managing inventory levels and optimising stock.
• Experience coordinating transportation and warehousing operations.
• Proficiency in supply chain planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).
• Experience using data analysis tools to identify trends and make decisions.
• Knowledge of or experience working within FMCG (Fast move consumer goods).
• CIPS Level 2 or equivalent.
• A commitment to continuous learning and development.
• Intermediate Excel skills.

• Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet customer needs while minimising holding costs circa 20 stocks days.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to include suppliers, customers and colleagues; negotiate supply chain agreements; and monitor supplier performance.
• Ensure problem stock is highlighted to sales and commercial solutions are explored for a swift resolution and work with the account managers of large customers on product forecasting.
• Oversee the transportation and storage of goods and manage stock movements between depots to maximise sales.
• Identify and mitigate potential disruptions to the supply chain e.g supply shortages or transportation delays.
• Ensure goods are purchased in line with commercial targets maximising category margin and business income.
• Ensure commercially best buying decisions have been made to acquire stocks, looking for cost savings and deals.
• Demonstrate commitment to and support our Environmental, Social and Governance goals in how daily tasks and responsibilities are carried out.
• Actively promote a food safety culture through sharing knowledge and expertise.
• Share and promote best practice and adherence to Cyber essentials standards.

The salary is for the supply chain planner is £13,770 based on a 20 hour week.
The role can be Hybrid working if needed.
