Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Technical Author with experience in a software delivery environment to contribute to high-quality product documentation for our customers. You will manage the production and maintenance of user guides, release notes, and product enhancements, working closely with product, development, and support teams to create reference materials that clarify software features and functionality.
Joining our Service Management department, you will have a strong customer focus and excellent communication skills. Your role involves creating and reviewing technical documentation for diverse audiences, with a focus on continuous delivery and meeting deadlines.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Experience in creating and reviewing customer-facing user materials
* Proven experience within a software delivery environment
* Knowledge of agile development methodologies, preferably Scrum and Kanban
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Ability to collaborate with customers, developers, and product owners
* Commitment to quality and producing high-standard user documentation
* Strong customer focus and deadline management
* Willingness to learn and develop professionally
* Aware of single-sourcing methodologies
Additional beneficial skills:
* Experience with Technical Authoring tools like MadCap Flare or Adobe RoboHelp
* Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
* Experience working in software development environments
* Experience documenting APIs
Salary
The salary range for this role is £30,000 to £40,000 per annum. Your growth within CDL depends on your ambition and effort.
