Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a part-time role in a busy manufacturing office? We’re looking for someone confident in Sage accounting software to take on a varied role covering bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, invoice processing, sales orders, and credit control. This is a permanent part time position for a family business located on the outskirts of Stamford. Working Pattern Part-time: approximately 3 days per week with flexible options: 5 mornings, 3 full days, or similar. Office-based. Salary between £15 - £18 per hour depending on experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in office-based accounts roles, looking for flexible hours and the chance to work in a supportive, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities * Daily bookkeeping and processing incoming/outgoing bank transactions * Handling Stripe payments and performing reconciliations * Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records * Sales order entry and invoice processing using Sage * Managing the accounts inbox, prioritising queries and supporting supplier and customer communications * Performing credit control and chasing overdue payments * Liaising with customers and suppliers via phone and email Skills & Experience Required * Proven experience using Sage accounting software (essential) * Experience in a manufacturing accounts environment preferred * Intermediate level of Excel * Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Able to adapt during software transitions (SAP to Sage migration) * Confident handling bookkeeping, invoice processing, bank and Stripe reconciliations, and credit control Why Apply * Flexible part-time hours perfect for work-life balance * Develop and enhance your Sage and accounting skills * Join a friendly office team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment * Gain experience across a broad range of accounts assistant responsibilities
