You should hold Cisco CCNA certification or a vendor-equivalent qualification. You should have a strong understanding of network security. You should have a strong understanding of VPN technologies. You should have a strong understanding of converged networks. You should have a strong understanding of LAN/WAN infrastructure. You should have a strong understanding of broadband technologies. You should have experience in enterprise-level installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. You should have knowledge of racking, structured cabling, and containment systems and standards. SME-level expertise in one or more technical areas is advantageous. Responsibilities: We support the delivery and integration of complex enterprise network infrastructure solutions within a secure defence environment. We install and configure network hardware and infrastructure. We carry out infrastructure surveys, including wired and wireless surveys. We manage office moves, adds, and changes. We complete technical refreshes of network hardware and cabling. We configure switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and voice systems. We perform network impact assessments. We conduct testing and analysis against predefined plans. We collaborate with project managers, SMEs, architects, and operational support teams. We ensure a smooth transition into live services. This is a long-term 12-month contract offering a rate of £480 to £515 per day on a full-time onsite basis.
