Purchasing Engineer (Aerospace/Renewable Energy)
Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire | Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + company benefits, progression, training, early Friday finish, hybrid
Are you a Purchasing Engineer or similar with procurement experience looking to progress in a technical role within a specialty engineering company providing solutions for the renewable and aerospace industry?
For over 40 years this company has been providing smart engineering solutions to the renewable, aerospace, marine and wastewater industries and due to an ever‑increasing workload, they are looking to expand their Purchasing Team.
Role Responsibilities
* Purchase raw materials and manage purchasing activities
* Maintain and build supplier relationships
* Use EPR systems to plan and structure purchases
* Collaborate with engineers to make the most effective decisions (8 am – 5 pm Monday‑Thursday; 8 am – 3 pm Friday)
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies and quality standards
Candidate Profile
* Purchasing Engineer or similar procurement professional
* Business procurement or acquisition experience
* Experience with CIPS Level 4 or equivalent (desired)
* Ability to commute to Grantham
Qualifications and Skills
* CIPS Level 4 / equivalent or related accreditation
* Experience in MRP planning and supplier management
* Strong analytical and negotiation skills
* Good knowledge of finance and procurement processes
* Pragmatic approach to engineering and procurement collaboration
