The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our security personnel, ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, and assets alongside managing a team. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to handle challenging situations effectively. Position: Security SupervisorPay rate: £13.00 per hourShift Pattern: Monday to Thursday (48 hours per week)Location: Newbury Benefits include:Financial support for SIA Licensing and renewal Cycle to work salary sacrifice schemeCompany Pension schemeLife Assurance benefits Employee referral scheme Progression, training, and development opportunities Additional benefits we offer via our ReWard membership:Discounted gym membership Discounts at major retailers and travel suppliersRestaurant and Supermarket vouchersCinema ticketsAccess to 24/7 free Employee Assistance programme Must have:Valid SIA licenceProven work experience as a Security Supervisor (minimum 1 year)Robust leadership and supervision skills, adept at inspiring and efficiently managing teams.Excellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary.Maintain a high standard of personal presentation.Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability.Profound problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to analyse intricate security issues and devise effective solutions.IT literate- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment Duties:Supervise daily security team operations, ensuring efficient task completion and supporting our existing staffReport any issues to the duty managerAlways conduct yourself in a professional mannerTo provide regular foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client’s property and assets.To provide a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors.Respond to emergenciesDeal with conflict in an appropriate manner if requiredWrite up incidents to the standard expected by ManagementCarry out ID checksBe vigilant to the Health and Safety risksExcellent communication skills to all levels – verbally, written, phone and by security radiosA positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challengesTo provide effective leadership to the on-site security teamTo provide training to the on-site security team in line with company policyTo keep accurate records and ensure site paperwork is up to date.To ensure the site is manned as per site requirements at all times.To ensure the security team are following instructions in line with company policy and client instructions.To provide the security measures necessary for the safeguarding of the property and people on site.To protect the premises above from possible unauthorised entry by use of force or illegal instruments whereby a loss of goods may result in subsequent damage to the client's business.To ensure effective security of the assigned patrol locations against damage by fire, water, theft, or vandalism.To detect, where possible, those responsible for losses or malicious damage to the client's property.To ensure that all persons wishing to enter the premises are fully identified as being staff, contractors or visitors of the client, or staff, contractors and visitors of tenants.To ensure that all reasonable instructions the client issues are implicitly and swiftly carried out.To provide a robust and efficient emergency response system to any emergency on site.Responsibilities:Leading and supporting our existing staffWrite reports, assignments instruction and/ site processesBe confident in the training of other security personnelTo communicate well with management, and clientsCarrying out regular foot patrols of the landlord’s demiseTo complete and record welfare checksReporting of faults, potential hazards and near missesAccess control and key issuingReception Duties (as and when necessary)Responding to alarms and emergenciesMeet and greet staff, visitors and contractors to the premises Who We Are:Ward Security provides security services solutions to a range of UK businesses.
