Compliance Manager (Labour Compliance Focus)

Salary: £40,000 - £70,000 + Package

About the Role:
We’re recruiting for a Compliance Manager to take ownership of labour compliance across multiple active sites. This role is key in ensuring that all workforce activity, subcontractors, and site teams operate to the highest legal and company standards.
The successful individual will design and implement audit programmes, conduct site inspections, and carry out investigations where required — ensuring every project remains fully compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular audits across multiple sites to verify labour compliance and workforce legitimacy.
* Design and implement comprehensive audit plans and compliance frameworks.
* Investigate and close out non-compliance cases, ensuring corrective actions are applied.
* Review and analyse labour data to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all systems reflect up-to-date compliance information.
* Provide feedback and training to site and project teams on compliance best practice.
* Report audit findings to senior management and ensure standards are consistently upheld.
Experience & Requirements:
* Proven background in compliance, auditing, or governance within a construction or labour-intensive environment.
* Strong understanding of Right to Work checks, CIS verification, and subcontractor compliance.
* Experience developing and managing audit plans and investigations.
* Excellent attention to detail, communication, and reporting skills.
* Ability to work across multiple sites and liaise confidently with site teams and management.
