As a Lead Data Analyst in Kainos,you’llbe responsible formatching the needs of data insight with understanding of the available data. Data analysts work closely with customers to produce insight products including reports, dashboards and visualisations but also contribute to project understanding of existing data structures so that inputs and outputs are fully understood. It therefore has a strong consulting element. Most of our work comes through repeat business and direct referrals, which comes down to the quality of our people.

We areseekingmore high calibre people to join our AI and Data practice where you will grow and contribute to industry-leading technicalexpertise.
It is a fast-paced environment, so it is important for you to make sound, reasoned decisions. You will do this whilst learning aboutnew technologiesand approaches, with talented colleagues that will help you to develop and grow. You will manage, coach, and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on managing employee performance andassistingin their career development. You will also provide direction and leadership for your team as you solve challenging problems together.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Facilitating workshops and discussions to effectively gather requirements andachieving a joint understanding of data and insightneeds
2. Taking responsibility for the identification, gathering and analysis of data
3. Recommending data visualisation and dashboard developments to supportinformed decision making
4. Extracting insight from data across the analytical spectrum (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive & prescriptive)
5. Helping senior stakeholdersto understand and meet operational and strategic datainsight targets
6. Working as part of a delivery team to support insight generation from digitalservices
7. Advising customers and managers on the estimated effort and technicalimplications of visualisations and dashboards
8. Making a significant contribution to the data analysis community and wider dataand analytics capability
9. Managing,coachingand developing a small number of staff, with a focus onmanaging employee performance andassistingin their career development.You’llalso provide direction and leadership for your team as you solve challengingproblems together
MINIMUM(ESSENTIAL)REQUIREMENTS:
10. Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills with a passion for data-driven decision making
11. Confidence engaging and influencing senior customers on both business andtechnical subjects
12. Ability to lead andfacilitateworkshops
13. Experience of contributing to bid responses and case studies
14. Ability toidentifyopportunities for insight within business functions
15. Experience using and configuring data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI,Google Analytics
16. Able to review and comment on data models
17. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead client projects andestablishrequirements in non-technical language.
