Join Our Team as a Train Dispatcher and Ticket Seller!
Are you customer-focused and looking for a dynamic role in the railway industry? As a Train Dispatcher and Ticket Seller, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth station operations, from train dispatch and ticket sales to providing real-time travel information and maintaining a safe, clean environment. This role involves regular lone working, offering autonomy and responsibility.
What We're Looking For?
* Passion for customer service and strong communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Confident decision‑making and attention to detail
* Ability to handle numerical tasks and documentation
Working Pattern
* 18 hours per week, 10:00 – 16:00 shifts
* Week 1: Thursday, Friday, Saturday
* Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
* Rotating pattern, includes weekends and bank holidays
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
What to Expect?
* After submitting your application, you will complete an online Situational Judgement Test.
* Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete an online assessment – Train Dispatch Multi‑Tasking Test.
* The candidate who passes this stage will be invited for a competency‑based interview.
* Successful applicants will need to pass a medical assessment, including a colour vision test and drug and alcohol screening, as well as a Basic DBS check.
* Full training will be provided, including a 3‑week training programme in Swindon.
