Job Summary
Widcombe Surgery is seeking a committed and motivated Salaried GP to join our friendly and established clinical team for 5 sessions per week, commencing January 2025. Responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality, patient‑centred clinical care to the practice population.
* Take part in the delivery of services under the PMS contract.
* Manage acute and chronic conditions in line with clinical guidance.
* Participate in telephone and online triage via Accurx Total Triage.
* Undertake clinical administration including referrals, results, and repeat prescriptions.
* Contribute to duty doctor sessions as part of a fair and shared rota.
* Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records in accordance with GMC standards.
* Take an equitable share of the clinical workload and contribute to QOF achievement.
* Participate in clinical meetings, learning events and audit activity.
* Supervise and support trainees where appropriate (depending on experience).
* Engage in annual appraisal and revalidation.
* Participation in Extended Access sessions (68pm) one every 2 weeks.

Widcombe Surgery is a well‑established, patient‑focused practice located in the heart of Bath, close to the city’s train and bus stations and with on‑site staff parking. We care for a population of approximately 9,300 patients and are part of the Bath Independents Primary Care Network.

Qualifications & Experience – Essential
* Experience working in primary care
* Knowledge of QOF and audit processes
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* GMC‑registered General Practitioner with CCT (or due to qualify by start date)
* Evidence of ongoing CPD and appraisal compliance
Qualifications & Experience – Desirable
* Experience in SystmOne
* Familiarity with digital triage (e.g., Accurx/E‑consult)
* MRCGP
* Experience working in a training practice or supervising learners
* Interest in teaching, QI projects or service development
* Portfolio or specialist interest (encouraged but not essential)
