In addition to a teaching commitment, the role will be to provide professional leadership and management for Additional Learning Needs throughout the school and to be accountable for high quality learning, efficient and effective use of resources and high standards of teaching and learning for all pupils. Applicants will need to support and enhance the school's Christian values and to contribute to the wider life of the school and its community. We are looking to appoint an innovative and inspirational leader who will thrive on the opportunity of being instrumental in the leadership of this successful school and who: - has excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills; - leads by high example, with a vision to promote excellent teaching and learning for pupils with additional learning needs; - is able to implement and monitor effective policies and procedures for leading and managing additional learning needs; - has a proven track record of raising attainment for pupils with a range of needs and is passionate about developing the potential of every child; - aligns, demonstrates and promotes the values and dispositions of the Professional Standards for teaching and leadership in a Church in Wales school, and, - is passionate about providing inspiring, authentic and challenging learning opportunities for all pupils, which enhances their literacy, numeracy and digital skills across the curriculum. The appointment process will involve a lesson observation, leadership tasks and an interview with the Headteacher and members of the Governing Body. The Governing Body and Local Authority are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
