We are proud of our clubs rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. We are currently recruiting an After School Club Childcare Manager at The Heights Primary School in Caversham, Reading (RG4).
The role
As the After School Club Manager, you will oversee daily operations and manage a small team, ensuring the safe and organized running of the club, supported by your Regional Manager and Head Office team. You will supervise activities, ensuring they meet KOOSA Kids and Ofsted standards, providing a safe, fun environment for children aged 4-11 to explore, grow, and enjoy.
Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the After School Club at The Heights Primary School
* Handle daily registers and sign-in/out processes, communicating with school staff and parents
* Deliver and oversee activities aligned with KOOSA Kids programmes and standards
* Be attentive to children with additional needs (physical, behavioral, dietary)
* Purchase healthy snacks for the children
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and KOOSA Kids policies, including safeguarding
* Conduct daily risk assessments and complete operational paperwork
* Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of activity areas, including cleaning duties
Skills & Experience
* At least 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience in childcare or playwork
* A Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (beneficial but not essential)
* Experience working in primary schools, preschools, or nurseries (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator, Nursery Manager)
* Reliable and passionate about childcare
* Ability to engage with children aged 4-11

Hours
Monday - Friday, 2.55 - 6.00 pm, term-time only
