Overview of the Business Our client is a highly successful, award-winning ambient food business with annual turnover exceeding £100m. The company operates with an international supply base and supplies all major UK retailers across predominantly Own Label ranges, alongside a growing portfolio of branded products. The business combines entrepreneurial pace with commercial discipline and is known for its strong customer relationships, category expertise and supply chain capability. With continued growth across retail, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced NAM/SNAM to manage two strategically important accounts. Overview of the Role Reporting into the Sales Director, this role will take full P&L responsibility for two major UK retail accounts. The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of robust Joint Business Plans, delivering sustainable revenue and profit growth across both Own Label and branded portfolios. This is a high-visibility role requiring strong customer engagement, commercial acumen and cross-functional leadership. The position includes line management responsibility for one direct report and offers significant autonomy within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Full ownership of two major retail accounts, delivering agreed sales, profit and growth targets. Develop and execute Joint Business Plans aligned to customer and internal objectives. Lead annual commercial negotiations including pricing, cost recovery, promotional strategy and contract terms. Identify and unlock new business opportunities across Own Label and branded ranges. Work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Technical and NPD teams to deliver best-in-class customer solutions. Manage accurate forecasting, budgeting and promotional investment control. Drive category growth through data-led insight, compelling customer presentations and range reviews. Maintain strong senior-level customer relationships across Buying, Supply Chain and Technical functions. Line manage and develop one direct report, supporting their progression and performance. Qualifications Proven experience managing UK accounts Ideally have Own Label account management experience; branded experience advantageous. Strong commercial acumen with proven P&L ownership. Confident negotiator with experience leading annual trading agreements. Highly analytical with strong forecasting and financial management capability. Degree educated or equivalent commercial experience. Food or FMCG background preferred.
