Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is looking to recruit an experienced M365 Solutions and Guidance Specialist to join our IT and Digital Services team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the council’s digital transformation, helping services make the most of Microsoft 365 and AI‑enabled tools, including M365 Copilot.
Reporting to the ICT Group Manager – Projects and Digital, you will provide expert advice and practical guidance on the effective use of Microsoft 365 across the organisation.
You will work closely with services to understand how they operate, identify opportunities to improve ways of working, and support the adoption of M365 tools that simplify processes and improve productivity. A key focus of the role will be supporting the safe, effective and consistent use of M365 Copilot and other AI‑powered functionality.
The role also involves developing learning resources, leading engagement sessions, and supporting staff at all levels to build confidence in using digital tools, while ensuring good information governance and compliance.
You will have:
* A relevant ICT qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience
* Certified Trainer (MCT) status (or be working towards)
* Strong experience working with Microsoft 365 applications
* Proven ability to support and guide users in adopting new digital tools.
You will be able to:
* Provide clear, practical advice on M365 solutions to a wide range of users
* Communicate complex technical concepts in a way that is accessible and easy to understand
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders across services to drive digital adoption
* Support organisational change and continuous improvement
* Develop and deliver guidance, training or learning resources
