Apprentice Teaching Assistant (Level 3)

We are seeking enthusiastic, caring and committed individuals to join our dedicated team as Apprentice Teaching Assistants. This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career in education within a nurturing and supportive environment. You will work closely with experienced teachers to support pupils’ learning and development, while undertaking a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.
About the Role
As an Apprentice Teaching Assistant, you will be working with secondary aged children, supporting their learning on a 1:1 and small group basis. You will be inspiring student’s academic and personal growth and encourage positive relationships and behaviours.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students aged 11-16, both 1:1 and in small groups.
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and time management.
* Encouraging students' academic and personal growth.
* Providing support for students’ physical, social, and emotional well-being.
* Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Positions Available: 1
Hourly Wage: £7.55
Duration: 16 months
Working Hours: 8:30-15:30 (Monday to Friday)
Qualification: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship
This position will rise to National Minimum Wage after the first year, in accordance with apprenticeship guidelines.

* Good literacy and numeracy skills, including English and maths GCSEs at grades A-C (4-9) or equivalent
* Confidence in using IT to support learning

* Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and carers
* A team player who is flexible, reliable and reflective
* Commitment to the values and ethos of the school
* Willingness to learn and take on feedback
Desirable:
* Experience working with children in any capacity
* Understanding of child development and strategies to support behaviour
* Awareness of safeguarding and child protection principles

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
