SEN One-to-one Primary Teaching Assistant – Close to Buckminster
Smile Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a primary school - East of Melton Mowbray close to Buckminsterwho - require additional support in their SEND department. The school are keen to meet Teaching Assistants/LSAs to work with a Year 2 on a one-to-one basis who has special needs. The pupil is non-verbal and as such requires someone with the ability to communicate via different methods such as picture cards and makaton. This positions will start at the beginning of the new academic year (Aug 26th), working four days a week until at least the October half-term, and possibly longer to Christmas.

NVQ Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or a degree in Psychology or Special Educational Needs would be ideal but not essential
Due to the location and lack of public transport being a car driver and owner is necessary unless you live locallyMy client primary school are keen to meet caring, committed and enthusiastic teaching assistants who are interested in supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs. This community primary are driven by providing an inclusive education to all pupils.
The school would love to meet any Teaching Assistants that have practical and theoretical knowledge of SEND, especially those with an interest in Autism. They are looking for the recruited teaching assistant to work on a four day a week basis in order that they establish a good working bond with the pupil(s) they support.
