Adams House is a residential care service providing dedicated support to older people living with dementia. As a Relief Care Worker, you will support residents to feel safe, reassured and valued, helping to maintain familiar routines and a calm, supportive environment.
What you will do
* Provide person-centred care to older people living with dementia
* Support with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily routines
* Offer reassurance and emotional support, responding sensitively to individual needs
* Promote dignity, comfort and wellbeing at all times
* Follow care plans and contribute to a consistent, structured environment
* Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of dementia care
About you
You will be patient, compassionate and confident supporting people living with dementia, with an understanding of the importance of routine, reassurance and clear communication. You may already hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or be willing to work towards it, and you will bring the right values and approach to deliver thoughtful, person-centred dementia care. Previous care experience is welcomed but not essential, as full training and support will be provided. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC, or willingness to register.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
