About the Role
The purpose of the role is to plan, coordinate, and oversee the construction and installation of electrical systems for Sizewell C. This includes managing electrical wiring, lighting, and control systems, ensuring compliance with SSOW, and leading a team of electricians and other electrical workers.
Working closely with construction team members, including engineers and general contractors, the Electrical Manager will ensure that the systems are installed according to specifications and on schedule, while maintaining safety and quality standards. The goal is to deliver high‑quality, functional and safe electrical systems that meet the intended use requirements.
Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing:
* Electrical Authorized Person Site Wide:
o Responsible for the appointment and management of competent persons
o Managing daily work, support and breakdown
o Creating work schedules for the team
o Ensuring Monday.com and EWORF are adhered to
o Conducting site visits and reporting to Senior Project Manager
o Implementation & compliance with SSOW
o Implementation of Field‑View process
o Ensuring delivery of work requests is on schedule
* Managing Work Order Requests:
o Co‑ordination with Tier 2 contractors
o Providing support to Senior Electrical Project Manager
o Budget control
o SSOW compliance
o H&S compliance
o Co‑ordination with platform construction managers, project managers and project leads
o Weekly coordination meetings
o Electrical LV Authorized Person with senior authorized person duties
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Experience managing an electrical team on large UK civil engineering projects
* Understanding of electrical engineering
* Leadership and people management skills
* Excellent organisational skills
* Logical problem‑solving ability
* Communication skills
* Authorized Person
* CSCS PQP Card and/or CSCS Black Managers Card
* SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safety
Desirable
* Nuclear / license condition experience
* Experience managing electrical team on multiple large civil engineering projects
* Experience working within joint ventures / alliances
* UK major construction experience and associated training
* Level 4 or 5 Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical and Electronic
* Strong attention to detail
