Senior Cloud Engineering Consultant | Azure or GCP Focus

The Role As a Cloud Engineering Consultant, you will occupy a hybrid role that combines technical execution with strategic advisory. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, build, and maintenance of cloud-native infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on establishing robust DevOps cultures within client organisations.
Key areas of impact:
* Engineering automated build and deployment pipelines to accelerate delivery cycles.
* Utilising Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.
* Optimising containerised environments and orchestration layers.
* Mentoring internal teams and client stakeholders on modern engineering best practices.
* Contributing to the growth of the practice through proposition development and internal think-tanks.
Technical Ecosystem & Specific Focus The practice is currently scaling its Azure and GCP capabilities. While the firm maintains a broad technology footprint, this specific intake is dedicated to consultants specialising in either Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
Note: Candidates whose experience is predominantly or exclusively focused on AWS DevOps will not be suited to this particular requirement.
Requirements:
* Advanced proficiency in Azure or GCP cloud services and architecture.
* Proven experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
* Strong expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
* Working knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
* Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Packer.
* Competency in Bash/Shell scripting and Git-based version control.
* Active SC Clearance or the clear eligibility to undergo the UK Security Check process is essential.
